INTRODUCTION
Beaulo approached me in March of 2023 to discuss the possibility of designing his next merch drop. I got Nicola Yau on board which I had previously worked with on the R6Share full kits for Astralis and KOI. We discussed some ideas on which kind of designs and themes we wanted to realize and got to work.
We created four different designs. Below you can see the first two ones. The other two will release at a later point.
"IT IS WHAT IT IS"
This design was supposed to have a little more natural and vibe-y look. We also agreed that we wanted to implement the phrase "It is what it is" which I ended up using as a background element with a melting liquid effect and a vibrant gradient map.
After that I had the idea to add some butterflies with the same gradient map as well as a small paragraph explaining the well known butterfly effect.
"BEAULO MOTION PICTURES"
The motion pictures theme came from the idea of turning Beaulo's logo into a classic Mickey Mouse/Cuphead style character.
Beaulo's character of course had to be the iconic bowling ball from his logo with the white sunglasses.
Below the main illustration you can see a filmstrip of the character lifting a sledgehammer, similar to the way Beaulo did after winning Six Invitational 2022.
